Splop Oval Side Plate

A Splop is a cross between a splatter and a drop, if you didn't know. The splops on this platter were made with watered-down red underglaze dripped from high above. It was then glazed in satin clear to show the natural creamy color of the stoneware.

The Splop Series exists in honor or splatter enamelware, and this platter was molded on an old enamel plate.

The oval side plate is perfect for a side dish of vegetables. The small plates pictured here are listed separately.

Food-safe and dishwasher safe.
