A Splop is a cross between a splatter and a drop, if you didn't know. The splops on these plates were made with watered-down red underglaze dripped from high above. They are then glazed in satin clear to show the natural creamy color of the stoneware.

The Splop Plate exists in honor or splatter enamelware, and these plates are molded on old enamel camping plates, which have a nice deep rim.

These are small bread or appetizer plates.
